Tuition & Fees

The first semester materials fee is due along with August tuition and registration fee.  The second semester fees are due with January’s tuition.  Your tuition is due on the 1st of each month.  Unless you have formally withdrawn your child, you are still responsible for the monthly tuition.

There will be a late pick up fee assessed after 3 times of picking up after 15 minutes late of $5 per five minute increment.  This will be determined by the Primer School teacher on staff at the time of pick up and begins after 15 minutes from pick up time.  Please understand that our time is valuable too.

There is a late fee of $20.00 for tuition paid on the 7th of each month and $5.00 per day after the 7th.

Tuition will not be refunded for absences, bad weather days, or holidays.

  •  Your child must be fully enrolled before they can attend the Primer School.  The director will place each child in the class which is best for him or her.
  • Our school year begins in August and ends in May.  We  observe the same holidays as the Arlington Public Schools.  If they call for a 10:00 arrival, then we will come in at 10:00.  We will be closed if they are closed.
  • We do not accept children that are not "potty trained".
  • Due to teacher preparation, students are not to come in before 8:55 a.m.
  • We do expect you to be here on time.  Please call if there are extenuating circumstances. WE NOW HAVE A LATE FEE FOR LATE PICK UPS.
  • Children are to bring their own snack and drink each day.  Please label their bags and containers.
  • If your child stays for Mother's Day Out, they will need a lunch and drink packed separately from their snack.
  • If your child contracts a communicable disease, the school must be notified and the child kept out of school until well.
  • The school is not responsible for personal belongings brought to school. Please put your child's name on his/her coat, sweaters, gloves and lunch box.
  • Primer School cannot distribute prescription drugs, antibiotics or cough medicines to children.  If your child is running a fever, they need to be fever free for 24 hours before they return to school.
  • We will contact the parent first if your child becomes ill or hurt.  We will then contact your emergency contact numbers on your enrollment forms.  Please make sure they are always current.
  • The discipline used at Primer School is "time out".  All of our teachers are highly skilled at redirection and positive means of encouraging a child to make good choices.  If a time out is necessary, then it will only be for a few minutes and then the teacher will have a conversation with the child about what the child needs to do differently and return to the activities.
  • If you are sending someone to pick up your child other than the appointed driver, please let us know in advance, provide them with the security code provided at enrollment, and we will need to see a driver's license.
  • The Primer School follows the standards of the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services.  We are inspected annually and have inspection reports posted on premises.  A parent may also contact the local licensing office, PRS Abuse Hotline and PRS Website at www.txchildcaresearch.org or 817-321-8604

  Audio Visual Screening and Assessments

The State Board of Health requires audio and visual screening of any four year old child registered in a school.  This will be provided by Certified screeners at The Primer School during the year for a nominal fee per child.  You may choose to have this done by your own physician.  You must have a form showing the  results for the school’s files.

The certified screeners are also available to do other testing such as Intellectual Abilities screens, Brain Styles Indicators, Behavioral Indicators and other Developmental screenings.  This is only done once a year by a private provider.
